Awantipora Police booked seven persons who were offering Asar prayers in Masjid sharief at village Padgampora Awantipora.
Despite clear orders of District Magistrate and various announcements made by Awantipora Police requesting people offer prayers at home only, it was found that 07 persons have assembled at Padgampora Masjid for prayers.
No sooner they came out of Masjid Sharif they were arrested and taken to Police station for legal action.
Case FIR number 40 /2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Awantipora.
People of Police District Awantipora are requested to adhere by the various advisories of Government and orders of District Magistrate and stay inside their homes.
People are requested to offer prayers at their homes.
