2nd anniversary of Pulwama attack: CRPF pays tribute to slain troopers

Srinagar, Feb 13: A tribute ceremony was conducted in 76 Bn. CRPF, Jammu on Saturday evening wherein rich tributes were paid to the slain of Pulwama attack, who lost their lives, when a convoy of vehicles carrying CRPF personnel on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a vehicle borne suicide bomber at Lethapora in Pulwama district of J&K on 14th Feb 2019.

According to a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Kavita Ranpise, Jammu Sector, CWA Head and P.S. Ranpise, IPS, IGP, Jammu sector along with senior officers of Jammu based offices attended the Tribute Ceremony.

Shazia Kouser, Veer Nari, wife of HC/Gd Naseer Ahmed was honoured during the ceremony by Kavita Ranpise and P.S. Ranpise, IPS, IGP, Jammu sector.

To mark the occasion, a mass meditation session was organized by Prajapita Brahma Kumaris followed by Homage to Martyrs through a Cultural programme presented by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.

P.S. Ranpise, IPS, IGP, Jammu sector paid tribute to the slain and to boost up the morale of all personnel by saying that CRPF is ready to neutralize any militant activity in a befitting manner.

On this occasion song “MERA BALIDAAN RANG LAAYEGA” by Sunil Sharma, dedicated to the Martyrs of Pulwama was also released.

He thanked Chief Guest Shazia Kouser, Veer Nari, all organizers, participants and families to grace the occasion with their esteemed presence.

He also thanked Press “electronic Media people” for the exhaustive coverage of the event. The tribute ceremony ended with Homage dinner.

On this occasion, Pradeep Chandra, DIGP, Ashok Samyal, DIGP, A.K. Chaturvedi, DIGP and other officers were also present. Kamal Sisodiya, Second-in-Command, 76 Bn. CRPF conducted the entire ceremony smoothly which touched the hearts of all the people—(KNO)
