Srinagar: Two precious lives saved by Army in remote area of Gurez on 15 May 14. According to an amry statement issued to KNS, Salima Begam, resident of Gujran Village and Mrs Rukhsana Begam, resident of Dawar Village in Gurez area were in their advance stage of pregnancy. The ladies developed serious pregnancy related complications and necessitated immediate medical help. As the area is totally isolated due to continuous bad weather,the helpless family members approached the Army authorities for evacuation. Army as always has been, responded immediately and quickly coordinated the availability of heptr resulting in both the ladies being evacuated by air to Bandipora for their treatment. (KNS)
