BJP rising like a storm in Jammu and Kashmir: BJP national General Secretary Tarun Chugh

Srinagar: Accusing the National Conference and PDP of “open looting of the resources of Jammu and Kashmir through dynasty”, National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party Tarun Chugh said that the time of dynastic rule in Jammu and Kashmir is over.

Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Tarun Chugh said that the BJP’s growing popularity in Kashmir and Jammu makes the “Gupkar Gang” feel unworthy. Chugh asked Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti to campaign for the withdrawal of slave Kashmir from Pakistan, rather than support talking to China, Pakistan.

Chugh said that this was the first time that the District Development Council (DDC) elections were being held in Jammu and Kashmir and i am happy to see that people are coming in large numbers to vote for the candidates.

Apart from cities, towns, villagers living in border areas also came out in large numbers to cast their votes. “It is a sign that the time of dynastic politics is over in Jammu and Kashmir. The dynastic leaders, who fought against each other till yesterday, were staunch rivals, today have united against the BJP. This is because they feel disqualified from the growing popularity of the BJP.

The BJP is rising like a storm in Jammu and Kashmir. BJP is reaching every village and district. He said that if one compares the 1960 picture of Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad with Jammu and Srinagar, the difference is very big and clear. “See how Mumbai has become a city of dreams for everyone. Bangalore is today a technology hub and Hyderabad is a place where dreams come true.

Talking about the capital of the country, Delhi is a metropolitan city where life goes on with great speed. Now the question is why Srinagar and Jammu stay away from development. Now, democracy is flourishing in Jammu and Kashmir. Chugh said that Srinagar and Jammu would be taken to new heights. In the year 2030, Jammu and Kashmir should be compared with Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad. You will see the difference.”

He said that dynastic politics that promoted corruption and nepotism did not allow development in Jammu and Kashmir. The late Mufti Muhammad Saeed spoke against corruption, but he too never acted against big fish like the National Conference. BJP national general secretary appealed to NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti to stop talking about Pakistan infiltrating Leh or Pakistan and promoting terrorism and separatism in Kashmir. They should now talk about how Pakistan-occupied Kashmir can be regained.

During the press conference, Chugh also took a dig at Mehbooba Mufti’s daughter Iltija Mufti, saying that she sits in New Delhi and tweets”. After all, why should the sons of others pick up guns?. (PTK)
