Bodies of both teens fished out

IGP expresses gratitude to Marcos

Srinagar: The bodies of both teenage boys drowned in Hokersar Nallah in Narbal area were fished out by Police with the help of Marcos divers of Indian navy.

According to a statement issued to KNS, immediately after the police was informed by some locals that two boys Shariq Nabi Bhat and Irfan Syed both residents of Chatabal got drowned in Nallah Hokersar, police launched a search operation to retrieve the bodies of the boys. River Police was also pressed into the service; however, the bodies could not be retrieved till afternoon. Police called for the assistance of Indian Navy who immediately launched the deep diving operations.

Body of Irfan Syed was retrieved by the divers at 11 PM in the night while the body of the other boy Shariq Nabi Bhat was fished out this afternoon. People hailed the efforts by the police and the Marcos for the search operations. IGP Kashmir has expressed his gratitude and appreciated the Marcos for their hardwork which they put in, in the recovery of the bodies.
