Srinagar: Bandipora police apprehended a Chemist and recovered 50 bottles of Codeine phosphate from his shop at Nadihal who used to sell these to addicted youth of the area.
According to a statement issued to KNS, on a tip off regarding a Chemist who used to sell Codeine phosphate formations to the local youth, Bandipora police apprehended a Chemist Anis-ul-Haq Shah son of Mohammad Sultan Shah resident of Bandipora at Nadihal Bandipora. Police recovered 50 bottles of Codeine phosphate concealed in his shop.
A case FIR number 90/2014 under section 8/22 NDPS was registered in Police Station Bandipora and the investigation has been taken up. Further arrests in the case are expected.
