Farooq Abdullah says NC will stand against communal forces

Dr. Rafiq Kochak joins National Conference
Srinagar: Dr. Rafiq Kochak, son of former Member of Parliament and contemporary of Shere-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Advocate, Ghulam Rasool Kochak of Anantnag joined National Conference in the presence of Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah in Srinagar.
According to a statement issued to KNS, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, while welcoming Dr. Kochak into the party fold, lauded the role of Advocate Ghulam Rasool Kochak and said that his sacrifices in the course of serving the people of this State would be remembered for all times to come. Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that Advocate Ghulam Rasool Kochak was a veteran leader who always treated the interests of the people as his topmost priority.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Farooq Abdullah cautioned the people of J&K about those political forces that pursue divisive and communal agendas to weaken the secular fabric of Jammu and Kashmir. Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that National Conference has always stood strongly against these elements and foiled their repeated attempts to destabilize the State and create impediments to peace, harmony and development.
Speaking to workers on the joining of Dr. Kochak, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will foil the machinations of communal forces and their proxies in J&K by staying united and standing resolutely in defense of the State’s integrity and dignity.  (KNS)
