Asks Modi to read writing on the wall

Srinagar: Huriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani on Friday hailed people for observing shutdown against Modi’s valley visit- stating that Government of India (GOI) must read writing on the wall. “This was not merely a common shutdown but a referendum by the people of Kashmir against the policies of the BJP vis-à-vis valley,” said the senior separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani while talking to KNS.

He added that the shutdown was an eye opener for the helmsmen at New Delhi to know that the people of Kashmir out rightly reject the policies of the BJP led government. “The hartal was against policies of BJP like permanent settlement to refugees in Jammu, separate homeland to pundits in valley, abrogation of Article 370 besides various others.”
