Gunmen kill Peoples Conference worker in north Kashmir

Srinagar: Unidentified gunmen on Wednesday killed a worker of a pro-India political party in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Reports said that gunmen barged into the home of Peoples Conference worker Ghulam Nabi Khwaja and fired at him from a very close range, leaving him in a pool of blood.

He was shifted to a local hospital where from he was referred to District hospital Baramulla.
Doctors at the District Hospital, however, declared him dead on arrival.
Hospital authorities said that the deceased had received four bullets.

A class fourth employee in education department, Khwaja, according to reports, was closely associated with the Peoples Conference.
