Hizb claims responsibility of Poonch attack

Srinagar: Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen Saturday claimed that its ‘Pirpanjal Regiment’ attacked the Indian troopers on Friday morning along the Line of Control in Poonch sector.

Operation Spokesman Hizbul Muhadeen, Baleeg-u-Din told CNS on phone that it were the men from their ‘Pirpanjal Regiment’ which carried the attack on Indian Forces in Poonch Sector.

“Our ‘Mujhadeen’ attacked the Indian post on Friday morning resulting in the killing of several Indian soldiers. After attacking Indian troopers our ‘Mujhadeen’ managed to reach their destination safely,” he said adding that such attacks would be carried out in future as well. (CNS)
