IUST students don’t want exam without transport facilities

Students of MBA 4th Semester in IUST told that some students from civil lines area of Srinagar today had a meeting with University authorities at Amar Singh College and demanded immediate conduct of exams.

Srinagar: Students of Islamic University of Science and Technology University (IUST) Awantipora, Wednesday stressed upon university authorities not to conduct exams without transport facilities otherwise students from south and north Kashmir even most parts of central Kashmir  would not be able to reach the exam centre.

Students of MBA 4th Semester in IUST told that some students from civil lines area of Srinagar today had a meeting with University authorities at Amar Singh College and demanded immediate conduct of exams.

“These are few selfish students who had not to face curfew and restrictions,” a student said adding “we also want the conduct of exam but not without transport facilities so that every candidate can sit in the exam.”

He said that Amar Singh College has been chosen as their examination centre. “But how can a candidate from Kupwara, Kulgam or Bandipora reach the centre during the prevailing situation.” They asked.

They alleged that some of their colleagues from civil lines area of Srinagar today met University authorities at Amar Singh College who informed them that there will be no transport facility available to candidates and they must have to reach the venue on their own. “University authorities want a written assurance from the students that they don’t want any transport facility,” a student said adding “but how can the candidates from far off places reach Amar Singh College to sit in the exam?”
