Memorandum handed over to Indian high commission in London: JKLF

Srinagar:Maqbool day (martyrdom day of Mohammad Maqbool Bhat|) was observed across major cities and towns of the world and Azad Kashmir. JKLF patron Aman Ullah Khan addressed a seminar in this connection at Karachi. While paying rich tributes to the father of nation Aman sahib termed him as a history maker and great leader,” a statement issued by JKLF to KNS reads.

The JKLF spokesman has added that in London JKLF UK and Europe Zone protested outside Indian High Commission in London today. “Placards and photographs of Martyr Maqbool Butt, the participants demanded for the return of mortal remains of Maqbool sahib and Afzal sahib.  A petition signed by over 50 British Parliamentarians demanding the mortal remains of Maqbool Butt Shaheed was also handed over to Indian officials.”
Similarly, the JKLF spokesman added that in Islamabad Pakistan a protest rally was held outside the United Nations office and press club in which demand for the return of mortal remains of Maqbool Butt was reiterated. The sit in was led by front leaders M. Rafiq Dar, ,M Salim Bhat, Mohammad Salim Haroon, Raja Ghulam Mujtaba,M Rashid Mirza, Manzoor Ahmad Khan,Mazhar Kazmi,Qari Sami ud din, Noman Kkashmiri, etc. besides these Syed Yousuf Naseen convener of APHC  also addressed people.
“Various programs, protests, rallies and sit in were held in both parts of Jammu Kashmir many programs were held in this connection. Besides Muzafar Abad, Mir Pur, Kotli and other places of Azad Kashmir.In Rawalakot town Tauqeer Gilani, in MirPur Advocate Sabir Ansari , Khawaja Pervaiz Iqbal  and  Aftab Ahmed. In Bagh Abdul hamid bhat and Jehangir Mirza, while in Muzaffarabad Khwaja Saifuddin and Abdul Gafoor Dar,in Kotli Suhail Ahmad Kataria etc led the rallies in this regard in Karachi and Lahore Pakistan, Advocate Khwaja Abdullah and Mohammed Sardar  Anwar led the programs.”
He added that police and forces have started a new reign of terror throughout the valley. “Police is arresting youth in many areas for observing Maqbool day. Police raided or arrested dozens of youth in Kangan area and Hadipoar Rafiabad. JKLF condemns this oppression in strong words.” (KNS)
