Nayeema Mehjoor visits Insha at Mumbai hospital

Assures her parents of all possible help in her treatment

Srinagar: Chairperson, J&K, State Commission for women, Nayeema Ahmad Mehjoor, while on a visit to Maharashtra, met 14 year old injured girl, Insha Mushtaq who had sustained pellet injuries and is undergoing treatment at Mumbai.
Insha was hit by a volley of pellets in her home at Shopian on 12th July 2016, causing severe damage to both her eyes and other parts of face.
As per the statement issued to KNS, Mehjoor spent more than three hour with Insha, who shared her ambitions she had natured for her future life, especially her dream of becoming a doctor.
Mehjoor was deeply moved when little Insha asked her if she could still fulfill her ambitions.
She assured her all help from government regarding treatment and education.
Mehjoor consoled Insha and assured her parents of all possible help in her treatment and future rehabilitations.
Mehjoor promised Insha that she will visit her soon again.
She also talked to her parents who related the agony and pain they have been going through since Insha’s injuries. (KNS)
