Now, NC leader Sagar calls party workers ‘real Mujahideen’

Baramulla, March 26: After People’s Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti, National Conference senior leader Ali Mohammad Sagar on Tuesday said that his party was the original “Mujahideen party” of Kashmir.

He was addressing a public gathering in Baramulla. Sagar said that party contribution towards Kashmir Valley was known to all and “our candidates will lead on every seat in upcoming Lok Sabha elections.”

“NC leaders and workers are working hard for the return of peace to Kashmir. Our workers are real mujahideen”, Sagar said.

NC founder Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah gave his life for the common people of Kashmir, Sagar said.

“He gave land and education to the people and even was jailed for the people. Today, those who are pointing fingers at us should first look at themselves. Our party has always strived for the poor,” said Sagar.

Party President Omar Abdullah, Besides senior leaders of National Conference, were present on the occasion.

Pertinently last week People’s Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti while addressing a public gathering had termed PDP workers as “real Mujahideen.” (GNS)
