Islamabad, May 18, 2025 – Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the formation of a high-level diplomatic delegation, led by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, to expose what the government describes as “Indian propaganda” and conspiracies on the global stage.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Sharif contacted Bhutto Zardari via telephone to discuss the initiative. The delegation will include prominent figures such as Dr. Musadik Malik, Engineer Khurram Dastgir, Senator Sherry Rehman, Hina Rabbani Khar, Faisal Sabzwari, Tehmina Janjua, and Jalil Abbas Jilani.

The delegation is scheduled to visit key international capitals, including London, Washington, Paris, and Brussels. Its mission is twofold: to highlight alleged Indian efforts to undermine regional peace and to underscore Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic initiatives to promote stability in the region.

Notably, the delegation does not include any representatives from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the country’s main opposition party.

This move comes in response to recent reports from India’s Press Information Bureau (PIB), which announced that the Indian government has formed a seven-member delegation to brief its global partners on “Operation Sindoor” and India’s efforts to combat cross-border terrorism. The Indian delegation, which includes senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, BJP Lok Sabha MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, Janata Dal (United)’s Sanjay Kumar Jha, BJP MP Baijayant Panda, DMK’s Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, NCP’s Supriya Sule, and Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde, will also engage with members of the United Nations Security Council during its international tour.

The Pakistani delegation’s tour is seen as a strategic effort to counter India’s narrative and reinforce Pakistan’s position in the international community amid heightened regional tensions.
