Srinagar: Accusing that the police report submitted before the court contradicts the challan what police had filed earlier, the complainant Zahoor Mir in the papa kishtawri case Wednesdaysaid that under the political pressure- Kishtiwari is being shielded.
Earlier, the challan produced by the police against Kishtiwari held him guilty and that now police submitted before the court that Kishtiwari had a relation with my father and that he was killed after some feud erupted, said Zahoor Ahmad Mir- son of Ali Mohammad Mir who was allegedly killed by Kishtiwari
According to the reports received by KNS, Mir had earlier moved an application before the court of additional district judge- urging it to investigate about the recovery of arms and ammunition from Kishtiwari’s possession. The court directed office of the SSP Srinagar to submit a report over the issue.
The counsel representing Mir in the court stated that after four months, police submitted its report wherein it was mentioned that Kishtiwari had some personal relations with the victim Ali Mohammad Mir- the report is contradictory to the challan produced by the police earlier against Kishtiwari. Zahoor stated that there must be some political interference going on in the case due to which Kishtiwari is being protected. The next date of hearing of the case is scheduled to be held on April 19.
