Police launches campaign to help needy and poor in North Kashmir

Baramulla: Jammu and Kashmir Police in collaboration with UDAY Foundation and NDTV has once again started the campaign to help the poor and needy persons of the valley by the directions of Inspector General of Police Munir Ahmad Khan. The drive was today started from North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Blankets and shoes were provided to the inmates of Bait-ul-Falah Orphanage in Singhpora, Pattan which were handed over to them by SSP Baramulla Shri Imtiyaz Hussain.

On this occasion, SSP Baramulla Imtiyaz Hussain underlined the need for sensitizing the society towards its responsibility regarding orphans and downtrodden.

He said that providing helping hand to orphans conveys a message that society as a whole is aware about the difficulties faced by these children who have lost their parents. We all need to come forward to help the marginalized sections of the society, he said.

SSP Baramulla appreciated the role of the management of the orphanage for running this orphanage with missionary commitment.

The campaign will also be held in other districts of the valley and shall be a regular feature of the Jammu and Kashmir Police. (Press Release)
