Contact tracing on, 13 family members of cop put under quarantine


Srinagar: A policeman posted in Srinagar has tested positive for novel coronavirus becoming the first cop to test positive after which his family members were shifted for quarantine. The police is now tracing all the contacts of the cop.

A senior police official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that a police man posted with Indian Reserve Police (IRP) battalion in Srinagar belonging to Baramulla has tested positive for Coronavirus.

Top officials told KNO that the policeman who tested positive was posted in Srinagar, adding that after his results, all the official contacts are being traced for sampling and quarantine. The officials also said that at least 13 members of his family were shifted for quarantine in Baramulla.

The officials further said that all the protocols and medical guidelines are being followed to track the on duty and home contacts, all the close contacts will be shifted for quarantine—(KNO)
