“Rehabilitating Kashmiri Pandit community in projected colonies is unacceptable”

Zaffer, Javid, Andrabi lead protest rally in Pualwama

Srinagar: Senior AHC Leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movemnet Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat along with Liberation Front Chairman Javid Ahmad Mir, Syed Bashir Ahmad Indrabi and Parvez Ahmed Dar today visited Luraw Pulwama and paid glowing tributes to the martyrs particularly to the youth, Shaheed Mudsair Ahmad, who was martyred by Indian armed forces few days ago during a siege and search operation.

According to a statement issued to KNS, APHC leaders were accompanied by dozens of activists including Adnan kashmiri, Shameem Ahmad, Zulfikar Hamid, Mohd Shafi , Ajaz Beigh, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Farooq Ahmad and javed Ahmad.

On the occasion APHC leaders lead a protest demonstration against the continuous Indian illegal occupation and human rights violations. Hundreds of people including youth who participated in the rally raised pro-Islam and Pro-freedom slogans and demanded birth right ‘right to self determination’

Addressing the gathering APHC leaders paid glowing tributes to the martyrs and pledged to take the martyrs mission to its logical conclusion. They said that people of the state are braving Indian oppression just for sacred cause and mission of those who laid down their precious lives for the resolution of Kashmir issue will not be allowed to go waste.

Criticizing the possible of rehabilitating Kashmiri pandit community in projected hi-tech colonies, APHC leaders said that the New Delhi is trying to communalize the state which has its own history of brotherhood called Kashmiriyat.

“We are not against the rehabilitation of Kashmiri pundits but the way New Delhi is trying to rehabilitate them in separate and isolate colonies is unacceptable.” They said.

Hurriyat leaders said that rehabilitating Kashmiri pundits in colonies would have serious repercussions as it would further alienate the community from other communities and sense of insecurity will always hurt them.

They said that instead of communalizing the state on religious grounds, New Delhi must prioritize the peaceful resolution of Kashmir conflict according to aspirations of Kashmiri people. They said that it is not only the Kashmiri Pandit community which got affected due to Kashmir conflict but it every individual of Kashmir who has braved the oppression and suppression of Indian armed forces.

APHC leaders said that India must not forget the grave human rights violations which its forces have committed here or is committing. They said that lakhs of people have been killed, thousands have been enforced to disappear, thousands were orphaned and widows, while as thousands continue to lash in jails besides thousands of residential house of Innocent Kashmiris have been damaged by Indian troops.

They said that rehabilitating a particular community while as neglecting another will prove fateful for New Delhi.  “New Delhi must come forward for the early resolution Kashmir issues rather than playing communal cards in the state.” They said.

Hurriyat leaders appealed common masses to remain vigilant and thwart the anti-freedom movement designs of New Delhi.
