Srinagar: Gunmen shot dead a Sarpanch at Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district lateThursday evening, a police official told GNS.
He said that suspected militants fired upon Mohammad Amin Pandith son of Abdul Ahad Pandith resident of Gulzarpora outside his residence.
Mohd Amin was shifted to nearby Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead,” he said.
Meanwhile, Army, Special Operation Group of Police and CRPF cordoned off the area and launched the hunt to nab the suspected militants. (GNS)
