Soldiers bring twin hamlets of South Kashmir under siege, search operations underway

Pulwama: Government Forces launched Cordon and Search operation in two hamlets of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The search operation in both the villages were underway till the filing of this report.

Sources told news agency KNT that combined forces including soldiers from 50 and 55 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operation Group of local Police and 180 and 182 Battalions of paramilitary CRPF cordoned off Muran and Ashmandar villages of the district after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants.

Sources added that door to door search operation was initiated and all the entry and exit points of the village have been sealed.

Local sources that huge contingents of forces have been deployed in these area, however, no contact with militants have been established so for. (KNT)
