Meanwhile, confirming the arrests, Deputy Inspector General Of Police North Kashmir, Ghulam Hassan Bhat told GNS that a Pakistani and as well as a local militant were involved in the attack by the family of Mehraj-ud-Din Khan of Mundgi Sopore.

DIG said that in February last year, a militant Mohammad Shafi of Zaloora was killed near the residence of Khazir Mohammad Naikoo and the attackers tried to pass-off the incident as the revenge which is actually not the case.

“There was a dispute between the two families and the incident related to it only”, DIG added.
