Teargas shell explodes in youth’s hand during south Kashmir clashes

SRINAGAR: A youth was injured when a teargas shell exploded in his hand during protests on Thursday in south Kashmir.
Police said the youth identified as Maisar Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Prichoo, Pulwama was injured while attempting to thrown back a teargas shell lobbed by police at a protest in Prichoo against the killing of a militant by forces.
The shell exploded in his hand causing injuries in his fingers. He was shifted to Bone and Joints hospital, Srinagar for treatment, a police statement said.
