UP man severs wife’s head, goes to police station, sings National Anthem

A man in UP’s Barabanki murdered his wife, severed his wife’s head and walked to the police station and sang National Anthem before he was arrested.

As shocking as it may sound but a man severed his wife’s head in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki and reached a police station holding his wife’s head in his hand on Saturday.

The brutal incident happened at Jahangirabad police station area’s Bahadurpur village. A domestic fight lead to the cruel incident when the man severed his wife’s head, walked all the way to the police station holding the wife’s head in his hand.

Stranger than fiction, when the police tried to take over the wife’s severed head from the man, he immediately started singing the National Anthem and chanted ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

After a few minutes of tussle between the accused man and the police, the cops were able to take the severed head from his possession.

The incident has kicked off a wave of fear and terror in the area.

Accused man Akhilesh Rawat murdered his wife first and then severed her head, according to the police. He then went to the police station with the severed head where he was arrested.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Arvind Chaturvedi said that it was a case of domestic dispute. He said that Akhilesh murdered his wife, severed her head and came to the police station with the head.

A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
