Wamiq Farooq case: SSP asked to execute warrants against 2 accused cops

Srinagar: The Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar has directed SSP Srinagar to execute non bail able warrants against two accused cops allegedly involved in Wamiq Farooq killing case.

According to KNS correspondent, the court has also exempted IGP Kashmir form personal appearance in the matter. Meanwhile, the SSP Srinagar has been directed to initiate an inquiry against SHO Nowgam for failing to execute the warrants against two accused cops ASI Abdul Khaliq Sofi and SPO Mohammad Akram.

In its report submitted in April 2013 the police had concluded that Wamiq a teenager had died either by falling from wall of Ghani Memorial stadium or may have died in an explosion caused by tear smoke shell.(KNS)
