Dr Qasba reviews sanitation, antic encroachment, anti polythene drive

Srinagar: In order to review the overall progress on sanitation, anti-encroachments and anti-polythene drives, the Commissioner SMC, Dr Qasba held an extensive   meeting with all the ward officers of the Corporation.

According to a statement issued to KNS, while deliberating upon the various issues including sanitation, anti encroachments on roads/footpaths and anti-polythene movement, All the Ward Officers were directed to strengthen the anti polythene and anti encroachment drives.

SMC shall be exhibiting ward wise seized polythene lot in its Central Office on 22nd April 2014 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM. While discussing sanitation, Dr Qasba passed on instructions to improvise upon the overall sanitation of city and in this regard has also directed   Mechanical Engineering to set up a service station at the Municipal Transport yard so that all the garbage lifting vehicles and the garbage bins/containers are cleaned up properly,.

More over if any where dumper bins are found damaged the concerned officials shall get them repaired at an earliest.

On illegal constructions Commissioner SMC emphasized that All the Ward Officers shall submit a personal affidavit with respect that “no illegal construction is going on in their Wards” which shall also be endorsed y the by the B.I, AEO and the Chief Enforcement Officer. This shall be in addition to their   dairies which they submit weekly. (KNS)
