Unless and until the these waterbodies are cleared of the muck and the encroachments, the Nigeen as well as Dal Lake are not going to be wriggled out of the mess these are in.

The backbone of the development of Kashmir is Tourism and the tourism in turn depend upon waterbodies, therefore the water bodies need to be conserved in the first instance and the measure taken so fare need to be reassessed.
